TTMini: Wizard Spellcaster — Animated RPG Sprite
A downloadable asset pack
The Wizard is a single-character TTMini pack designed around fantasy spellcasting, combat, defensive abilities, and character states for games, RPG tools, virtual tabletops, and prototyping.
Includes:
- Wizard

- 8-direction pose rotations
- Core attack and ability poses
- Spellcasting and channeling animations
- Fire and Arcane spell variations
- Defensive magic
- Hurt and Death animations
- Additional spell and combat animations
- Multiple processed resolutions and palette variants
- Individual frames, spritesheets, and GIF previews
The character is designed as a flexible asset rather than being tied to a particular game genre. It can work in TTRPGs, virtual tabletops, tactical RPGs, roguelikes, autobattlers, deck-builder roguelites, strategy games, dungeon crawlers, and other 2D projects.
Multiple Resolutions & Processed Variants
The package includes a wide range of ready-to-use processed versions for different project resolutions and visual styles.
The character includes:
- Original / primary resolution (128px character)
- 2× Original
- 64×64
- 48×48
- 32×32
- Multiple palette variants
- Compact variants

The character is authored at approximately 128px visual character scale within a 256×256 working canvas, with smaller versions providing increasingly retro presentations.
All variants are automatically processed from the source artwork using a standardized pipeline, giving you a ready-made resolution and palette ladder without having to batch-process the assets yourself.
These versions are provided as-is rather than individually redrawn for every target resolution. The original assets can be further customized if you need a specific palette, pixel treatment, or final presentation.

The Wizard
The full pack includes:
- BasePose — 8 directions
- AttackPose — 8 directions
- AbilityPose — 8 directions
- Core attack animation
- Spellcasting / ability animations
- Channeling and staff-held casting poses
- Fire spell variation
- Arcane spell variation
- Defensive magic
- Hurt and Death animations
- A selection of additional spell and combat animations
The spellcasting material can be used for purposes such as different spell types, ability states, casting windups, channelled abilities, or alternate magical attacks.
The exact direction coverage varies by animation. The major pose states provide the full 8-direction foundation, while more specialized spell and character actions may use fewer directions.
Manifests, previews, and spritesheets are included to make the available content easy to inspect.

Directional Animation
The Wizard uses 8 native directions for its major pose states:
N / NE / E / SE / S / SW / W / NW
The BasePose, AttackPose, and AbilityPose provide the character's complete directional foundation for turning, posing, combat, and ability states.

More specialized spellcasting animations use the directions that make sense for the individual action. Some casting and utility animations are intentionally more limited rather than attempting to provide a full directional rotation for every spell.

This keeps the major character states fully directional while allowing individual abilities to focus on their visual presentation.
Dynamic Spellcasting
The Wizard includes a selection of animations that can be adapted to different types of magical abilities.
The Channel and staff-held casting animations can be useful for:
- Spell windups
- Sustained abilities
- Channelled magic
- Charging attacks
- Ability anticipation
- Casting states

The Fire and Arcane spell variations can provide different visual identities for magical attacks, while other spell animations can be adapted to area abilities, defensive magic, or custom RPG mechanics.

The individual frames also make it easy to adjust timing, add hold frames, remove frames, or build your own transitions.
A Flexible Starting Point
The supplied animations are intended to be building blocks you can adapt to your own project.
The individual frames and spritesheets give you room to:
- Mirror suitable animations
- Remove or rearrange frames
- Add hold frames
- Adjust anticipation and recovery
- Change playback speed
- Create custom spell timing
- Build casting and ability state transitions
- Combine animations with your own effects
- Extract individual poses or frames
Mirroring can expand the practical direction coverage of suitable animations. Keep in mind that mirroring also swaps left/right details, including equipment and handedness. This can be perfectly suitable for prototyping or as a starting point for remixing and customizing the artwork.
The animations can therefore be used as provided, selectively mirrored, or treated as source material for your own animation system.

Character States
The Wizard focuses on poses, combat, spellcasting, defense, and reactions rather than movement.
There is no traditional walk cycle in this release.
The 8-direction pose states provide the character's directional foundation, while the action library provides a selection of combat and magical states.

The animations can be used for things such as:
- Basic attacks
- Spellcasting
- Channelled abilities
- Fire or Arcane attacks
- Defensive magic
- Ability windups
- Sustained casting states
- Character reactions
Some additional animations have more limited directional coverage and are intended as supplementary material rather than replacements for the core pose and action set.

Built For Games, RPGs & Virtual Tabletop
The Wizard can be used in a wide range of projects, including:
- D&D and tabletop RPG projects
- Virtual tabletops
- Online DM tools
- Digital roleplaying
- Encounter and combat tools
- Tactical RPGs
- Strategy games
- Autobattlers
- Roguelikes
- Deckbuilder roguelites
- Dungeon crawlers
- Turn-based games
- Game prototypes and game jams
The individual frames, animations, and GIF previews can also be used to represent the Wizard during online or virtual tabletop sessions.

TTMini
TTMini is a collection of pixel-art characters inspired by tabletop fantasy miniatures, designed for games, virtual tabletop sessions, RPG tools, and digital roleplaying.
Characters in the collection are built around shared standards for:
- Perspective
- Character scale
- Directional conventions
- Animation conventions
- Pixel density
- Processing
- Packaging
This makes characters from different TTMini releases easier to mix together in the same project.
Production & Cleanup
These assets were AI-assisted, followed by a substantial human cleanup and production pass.
The generated material was processed and reviewed for common artifacts such as:
- Bright stray pixels
- Isolated color noise
- Broken outlines
- Inconsistent edges
- Canvas and alignment issues
The final character was then taken through a standardized processing pipeline for palettes, resolutions, animation previews, spritesheets, manifests, and release packaging.
The goal is to provide a usable, cohesive character asset rather than a collection of raw generations.

Interesting. Could you also do a cavalryman, a lancer, and a priestess ? (I saw you already have a paladin, a warrior and an archer). And for the enemy golem, gobelin and demon ?
Golem, Goblin, and Demon are high up on the priority list! Might be able to work out something like a Priestess. Unlikely to touch on Cavalryman and Lancer soon but I will add those concepts to my backlog!
